Consciousness and the Physical World will eventually be home to a complete survey course that outlines the major ways that consciousness research is being approached.
While a survey course is planned for hosting here at CPW, many in-depth courses on specific concepts or approaches are available elsewhere on the web. Where that is the case, links will be provided, with summaries incorporated into the CPW survey course. In topical areas or disciplines where in-depth educational resources are not available elsewhere, they may be developed here as complete courses (much like the
PEAR Webcourse).

The emphasis of this course would be on presentation of the evidence and historical disciplinary focus in the topical area, while keeping a running synthesis of major implications for the broader topic.
Primary researchers and 'guest lecturers' will present and author their own materials and content, which will not be editable by other authors. This material may form the backbone of the material in the survey course, or it may be additional short-courses (like the
PEAR Webcourse) which are then summarized in the Survey Course.
The materials in the survey course, however, will be edited more publicly by people interested in cross-disciplinary synthesis or teaching the material as a course.
